Neoscona sp. or Hairy Field Spider. These harmless (unless you are a mosquito!) spiders construct a new web every night, gathering it up again at sunrise before retiring for the day to sleep.

Banded jewel fish  – Hemichromis elongatus – probably not for sale at Hilton Aqua Emporium. I caught these fish in the Zambezi River, above the Victoria Falls, and kept them in my tank at home. I love the subtle, piggy-pink belly.

A Tigerfish – Hydrocynus vittatus – definitely a catch worth smiling about!
